Giuseppe Rizza Recertified As a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE)


CFRE International has named Giuseppe Rizza as a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE). Giuseppe "Joe" Rizza, Vice President & Executive Director for Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation joins over 5,300 professionals around the world who hold the CFRE designation. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement and a commitment to service to not-for-profit organizations. They have also passed a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive, and have agreed to uphold Accountability Standards and the Donor Bill of Rights.

Sarah Newman Awarded Chamberlain Scholarship

The Association of Fundraising Professionals – New Mexico has awarded the 2014 Chamberlain Scholarship to Sarah Newman, the Development Director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of New Mexico.

The Chamberlain Scholarship Program, funded by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy, provides complimentary registration to the 2015 International Conference on Fundraising, to be held this year in Baltimore, Maryland.

Newman, who has been the Development Director at the Ronald McDonald Hours Charities of New Mexico for two years, said, "I would like to thank the AFP Board and membership for selecting me to represent the chapter at the AFP International Conference. I am excited for this opportunity and I look forward to putting what I learn to use here in New Mexico to improve our community.
