The Association of Fundraising Professionals New Mexico Chapter is the leading organization for fundraisers and nonprofit professionals. We currently represent over 125 members from the leading nonprofit charities, foundations, and consultants across the state. Our Mission:
The AFP New Mexico Chapter, an association of professionals, advances philanthropy by empowering people and organizations to practice ethical and effective fundraising. The core activities through which the chapter fulfills this mission include education and training, promoting credentialing, providing resources, networking, forging alliances, mentoring, advocacy and recognition.

There are many levels of membership in AFP-NM, including one to fit you. If you work at a small organization, membership is only $150.00 per year, while young professionals under thirty can join for just $75.00. Oct 23 - Associate Director of Development & Communications
Explora seeks an Associate Director of Development and Communications for a wide variety of duties related to fundraising, donor relations, membership, and internal/external communications. This Associate Director will supervise a team of staff responsible for effort in these areas, working closely with the supervising director to develop strategies and techniques and with other departments to ensure proper coordination with varying clients and needs. The Associate Director will share responsibility for meeting the organization’s annual fundraising and membership goals and will coordinate and facilitate fundraising programs from inception to participant appreciation; lead special event planning and execution; network and create relationships with members, donors, and prospective donors; oversee scheduling and submission of grants; identify new grant opportunities for the organization and determine their priority; conduct meetings with donors; oversee publications and advertising; and more. Nov 20 - The Fundraising Effectiveness Project Releases Third Quarter Benchmark Report for Nonprofit Fundraisers
(Nov. 20, 2017) The Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP) released its third quarter findings and announced that both donor giving and donor retention is on a continued downward trend. FEP’s third quarter report indicates year-to-date giving through September 2017 is down by -4% compared to the same time period in 2016 and that donor retention is currently at its lowest point in five years, with an overall year-to-date retention of 45%. ... more >
