Pam Hurd-Knief, CFRE - Ethics
Pam Hurd-Knief is the part-time Director of Alumni Relations for the UNM School of Engineering. From 1998 through 2013, she was a member of the University of New Mexico (UNM) fundraising team as both a frontline fundraiser and as Director of Major Gifts/Associate Vice President for Development with the UNM Foundation. She holds a BS in political science and economics from Juniata College, an MS in rural social work from Penn State University, an MB/GA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvianiam and an MA in Philanthropy and Development from St. Mary's University in Minnesota. She is currently pursuing a PhD in management and philanthropic leadership.
Since her 1993 move to New Mexico, Pam has served on over 20 nonprofit boards. She has been a member of the AFP-NM chapter since 1993 and served as Chapter President in 2005. In 2007 she was named the AFP-NM Professional Fundraiser of the Year. Pam also served as an elected member of the International AFP Ethics Committee and as an appointed member of the AFP Members Services and Chapter Support committees. She was recognized by the New Mexico Business Weekly and a Powerbroker in 2009, 2010, 2011 and also as a Woman of Influence in 2010.
