Michael Barndollar, Barndollar Associates/Make the Minute Matter
Michael Barndollar has over 30 years' experience in nonprofits during which he has held senior fundraising positions for organizations such as the American Cancer Society, United Way and the Public Broadcasting Network in Maine. He has also built two community-based nonprofits from start-up to multi-million dollar programs.
Mr. Barndollar moved to Albuquerque in 2015 and has returned to his former consulting work, mainly providing council for capital campaign feasibility, planning and implementation, conducting fundraising capacity audits, and providing board fundraising training. In his various roles, he has successfully solicited multi-million dollar gifts and facilitated the successful solicitation of gifts up to $8 million.
Mr. Barndollar is a former faculty member at Antioch University, New England, where he taught a graduate course in fundraising. For the past 10 years, Michael taught an annual workshop on major gifts fundraising for the Maine Association of Nonprofits.
Mr. Barndollar is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning. In addition to his service on the AFP New Mexico Board, Michael has served on many other nonprofit boards with missions ranging from mental health services to performing arts.
Michael is currently the Director of Vision Resources for Make the Minute Matter (M3), a start-up, global nonprofit based in Chicago.
